Walks around the village

When you go out of the house, you can choose between different walks :

• On the right bank of the river towards Conflans, the inland water shipping’s capital. You can visit the Museum of the Canal transport or embark for a cruise (from May to September) on the river;
• You can cross the river on a boat and discover the other side in a landscaped park (the ferry works from April to October during week-ends)
• You can explore the net of footpathes and staircases in gardens to discover the village from another view.

Artistic history

Albert Marquet He began his series of quay views in 1905. In 1907 he made his first personal exhibition in the Galerie Druet and a few years later, he made a series of nudes in studio. Many tripps and exhibitions followed in several countries. Alain Marquet died in 1947 and he is buried in the cemeterry of the village, on the peak of a hill dominating the river.
